Artist Statement


​My daily morning walk is one of my biggest sources of inspiration.  This is the time that I feel an intimate 

​connection with the world around me.  The textures, light and surfaces constantly fascinate as they change 

and morph into different shapes and colours while I explore and photograph them.  Aging wood and the

patina of exposed metal draw me closer with their Wabi Sabi beauty.  Visual texture is always my goal which

 I translate through digital printing onto cotton and embellish with additional colour or stitching in various
